There is so much to do in winter
You can take the ski lifts up and then ski down famous slopes—venues that hosted the recent Alpine World Ski Championships and the 2026 Winter Olympics. Or, try ski touring—using climbing skins to ascend before skiing down pristine, untouched routes. Go ice skating, or snowshoe through breathtaking forests and across high plateaus. Photograph unique landscapes, capturing the details that catch your eye. Watch figure skating performances or ice hockey matches. Sit in the sunshine with a hot drink, taking in the surroundings and listening to the sounds around you, soothed by the crisp mountain air. Then, in the evening—after a nice hot shower—enjoy a chat with friends near and far, a good book, some music, and perhaps, for those who can't go without it, a good movie on TV.
